What a cute sketch, Inslee! Jerrell, if you’re reading, I don’t know if you’d remember me, but I went to Flint Hill and I think you were in the grade above me! Love the blog – I agree, Lent might have to be observed this year, why do Mardi Gras and Valentines have to come so soon after Christmas?!

I love your illustrating style! How do you create the shadings? – Do you add the darker colors when the lighted tones are still wet or do you wait for them to dry?
some times it does help to let the first “layer” dry a bit before going back in to make sure it doesnt run!
