B MINE

an illustrated e-valentine i created for the kate spade b mine event! hope everyone is having a warm, fuzzy weekend of love!

madmen/NYFW

this pre-fall look from DSquared2 reminds me of the 60s. Well, I wasn’t there, so it makes me think of the 60s. And then it makes me think of the joyous fact that MadMen is coming back soon!

And from pre-fall to actual fall, I’m off to Milk Studios to see what there is to see today at New York Fashion Week. Because here in NYC on this chilly February day, it is actually time to start thinking about September. I’m going to visit my good friend Taylor of Shut up I love that and her good friends at the IFB (thats Independent Fashion Bloggers). Taylor has been kind enough to sneak me into the presentation of Misha Nonoo and a few others. I’ll be tweeting and instagraming so you should follow me to get a birds eye view!

wink

A wink inspired by the expressive beauty of Leslie Caron in the movie musical, Gigi that I watched on repeat as a little girl. I’ve mentioned my love of this film before, and am always surprised when I find other people who have seen it. Such a classic!

tiny dancer

I spent my days in school doodling my way through math classes, filling pages with these tiny sketches of ballerinas. At the end of class I’d give pages of ballerinas to my friends as locker art.

I’ve been at home visiting my family for the past few days and it reminded me of these miniature sketches. So I decided to see if I still was a ballerina doodle expert and draw these!
